Of Drugs & Herbs
Prohibition of Cannabis can only continue as long as the distinction between "drug" and "herb" remains nebulous under the law. If mankind is to have any chance of achieving sustainable existence on this planet, then it is imperative that the right of every person to grow seed of every kind is reclaimed, and securely held by the individual. Without direct relationship between people and 'every herb bearing seed" there can be no true "free market."

2005 - The Year of "Essential Civilian Demand"
"Drug dealers in Tennessee will be required to pay state taxes on illegal goods - from marijuana to moonshine - under a new law that goes into effect on Saturday. Tennessee joins at least 22 other states in taxing illegal drugs."
This sort of legislative idiocy is what comes of failing to make the distinction between "herbs" and "drugs." Anyone can render a drug out of an herb, but no one can grow an herb from a drug. If Cannabis is really a drug, then God is an outlaw.
"And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
"And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."
-- Genesis 1:29-31, King James Bible, Page 1.
Cannabis is the world's best available source of organic vegetable protein, and the only common seed with three essential fatty acids (EFAs). The "illegal" status of Cannabis only exists because the true value of what is, in reality, a precious gift from the Creator of all life has been disrespected and falsely characterized, for three generations. It has taken that long for our species to finally see the end of the road we were misguided onto, by prohibition of the world's most useful plant, sixty-seven years ago.
The obvious truth is that no government has ever had rightful jurisdiction over unique and essential food resources. Because we were born into a system of perverse, anti-Natural values, we have accepted them as normal, until the abiding truth was finally brought to light.
Cannabis is an herb that can be used for thousands of different products, including safe and uniquely effective herbal therapeutics, unique and essential vegetable protein, inexpensive and sustainable biofuels, better paper, stronger, softer cloth, building materials, biodegradeable plastics, paints and varnishes and much, much more.
In India, Gandhi and his followers sacrificed much to reclaim people's "self-evident" right to unique and essential resources, by harvesting salt "illegally." In the U.S., people have 'rolled over' out of ignorance and complacency.
We are being led by the wealthy few who, after several generations of an unfree market, have risen to the top of a toxic economic system. Wielding fear and illusion, prohibitionist politicians are the gatekeepers of evolution, further empowering their anti-Natural values, bearing inevitable extinctionistic inertia.
Americans are ignorant of the true value of Cannabis, so the corporate chemical market has been successful in usurping control of our government. People who have profited from the sale of toxic, unevenly distributed chemical resources have passed "laws" based on lies, that obviate the possibility of a truly free market, and individual choice.
Mankind is far beyond its rightful authority in creating scarcity of a unique and essential food resource upon which other creatures depend for their surivival. There isn't a drug on Earth that produces seed, or functions as a unique and essential food resource within a complex, synergistc ecosystem.
The problems and tragedies are many and complex, but the solution is simple. End Cannabis prohibition, not by changing the laws, but by transcending and finally discarding them. Though having the "name and form of law," illegal stautes constricting free trade in unique and essential natural resources are not and have never been legitimate.
Only ignorance and disrespect for Nature have made prohibition stautes appear to be real laws. Natural Law, upon which our nation was founded, trumps man's "laws" here. This becomes obvious once the distinction between an herb and a drug is understood from a perspective of objective reason.
Let us make 2005 the year of "essential civilian demand" as stated in Executive Order 12919 (1994), identifying "hemp" as a "strategic food resource." Prioritizing food production and sustainability over groundless fears and creation of a black market is imperative as the ecosystem races toward synergistic collapse.
Time is the limiting factor in the equation of survival.Time is the only thing we cannot make more of.
