BushCo is a morally bankrupt business entity that uses religious ideology like a credit card, to buy the trust of the fearful.
The fact that the "checks & balances" (so critical to the original design of our government) have been subverted by the incumbent regime, ought to tell us something about the treasonous character of those in power.
Now that the Executive, Legislative and Judicial Branches of our government (and the voting machines) are all under the control of the military/industrial complex, the United States of America has been effectively usurped by those people willing to accumulate wealth at the expense of moral integrity, global unity, environmental balance.
Only a fundamental shift in global economics can wrest control from the monied few. That shift has to happen sooner than later, if synergistic collapse of Natural sytems is to be reversed and extinction avoided.
Cannabis is the most useful agricultural resource on Earth. Period. It was the first plant to be sown and harvested by our species. It was a required crop in Jamestown Colony.
The first American flag was made of Cannabis. The first drafts of the Declaration of Independence were written on hemp paper. Our money is made from hemp fiber, which is why you can wash it and it doesn't dessolve.
Because there's nothing else like Cannabis, and it has been prohibitied for so long, most people cannot conceive of how important Cannabis is to balancing global economics, environment and social evolution. Our failure to properly valuate (and in fact, viillify) a critically determinate agricultural resource is profoundly destabilizing.
Essential resource scarcity, imposed for the past sixty-seven years has skewed people's thinking so far that perhaps our species is incapable of proportionate respect for Nature. Instead we trust science to modify genes, and brew chemicals in order to feed us.
The United Nations isn't even studying Cannabis seed as a source of protein! Nowhere in the whole wide world is there a U.N. sponsored investigation of hemp seed - not even in the countries where it's cultivation is subsidized by the government (as in the EU). Such is the effect of perverse laws and decades of "Reefer Madness."
Just remember that mankind could pass a million laws that prohibit the rising of the Sun. Nature has but one law that says the Sun will rise. Such is the insignificance of man's "laws," relative to that of the dominant and abiding paradigm, whose laws our economic system is antagonistic toward.
Ask yourself, if you were stranded on an island in the middle of the ocean with a bag of Cannabis seed, and a barrel of oil, which one would you break open?
Right now, our species is stranded on Earth Island, spilling petroleum and nuclear waste everywhere. We are a young and arrogant species, whose leaders reflect those extinctionistic qualities.
