Project P.E.A.C.E. and Between the Dreams Productions

present

a Digital Video Trilogy

"90 Seconds to Heal the Earth"

a minute-and-a-half global documentary, meant to end the 'Drugs & Energy Wars'

From December 15th-30th, more than 1,500 short films will be available for viewing at the "Bush In 30 Seconds" competition, to be experienced on-line at

http://www.bushin30seconds.org/

The winner of the competition will be broadcast on television during George Bush's State of the Union address, next January.

Three of the films entered are made of clips taken from the full-length feature in-production, entitled "Return to Reason", an efficient communications tool being constructed specifically for the purpose of educating the pubic regarding drug policy reform considerations. Between the Dreams Productions is an independent, International DV filmmaking effort, which is seeking practical and tactical support to complete and release "Return to Reason" on July 4th 2004.

In the three short films described below, fundamental relationships are revealed between: The failed "drug war", which is creating scarcity of the world's most useful agricultural resource, Cannabis hemp 'marijuana'; And "oil wars", waged for control of the world's petroleum. Using common sense to compress a fundamentally relevant global conversation into three, thirty-second digital video sequences the following trilogy, "90 Seconds to Heal the Planet" is offered for global review to end what is clearly, the most fundamentally degenerative, 'extinctionistic' political issue on the planet -- drug prohibition.

"For What Reason?"

A rapidfire, International sequence, made of clips taken from an International feature-length DV documentary re-valuation of the Cannabis plant. Included are glimpses of two drug reform conferences, a war protest, and various Cannabis agricultural events in Mexico, France, Switzerland and Belgium.

A sustainable agricultural alternative to BushCo's 'Wars For Oil' paradigm is demonstrated and celebrated in Europe, challenging the people of the United States to question and understand the real reason for prohibition of the world's most beneficial agricultural resource.

Featured statements (in order of appearance)

Mssr."LaFrance", ailing founder of the "Festival du Chanvre" in Montjean sur Loire, France. This dignified, twelfth-generation 'Chanvriere' (hemp farmer), asks "Mssr. Dr. Robert Lessmann, of Austria, shares his expertise during ENCOD's conference at the European Parliament, succinctly encapsulating the environmental effects of America's drug war in South America. March 2003.

British MEP Lord Benjamin Mancroft, puts a fine point on the insanity of the drug war, speaking at ENCOD's European Parliament NGO conference. March 2003.

In Switzerland, where tractors run on organic hemp oil instead of petroleum, Marco speaks plainly of energy independence, from the fields of Chanvre Info, a Cannabis agriculture and small-scale hemp manufacturing demonstration project. At Chanvre Info, high-THC "Swissmix" plants are grown to produce diesel fuel, food, herbal therapeutics, building materials, clothing and more... September 2002.

"The Disease of Prohibitionism"

30 seconds in Mexico, meant to rock the soul of America...

Impassioned statements born of frustration, anger and reason add up to stirring condemnation of Bush's 'Drugs&Wars' economy. A truly "free market" based in organic agriculture, and the possibility of sustainable energy production, begins with people's awareness of how Natural values, leading to world peace, are being subverted by the BushCo. Regime.

At the "Out From the Shadows" drug reform conference in Merida, Mexico, Dr. Ethan Nadelmann points out the diseased insanity of the war on drugs.

Amid non-violent public protest, children light candles in front of the American Embassy, for "paz".

The bird of anger flies in the face of "Imperialismo De Yankee".

The spirit of freedom is heard in the explosive call for global communication, from Mario Menendes, Editor-in-Chief of "Por Esto!" newspaper.

A STOPTHEDRUGWAR.ORG sticker, worn on a war protester's shirt punctuates the sequence with a lasting thought.

This is the second of three entries by Cannabist scholar, ecologist, biodynamic agriculturist, convicted tax-protester & International photographer, Paul von Hartmann.

"Euro Parly"

At the European Parliament, in Brussels, British MEP
Lord Benjamin Mancroft answers the age-old question, so relevant to dealing with the outlaw Bush administration:

"Can we hold politicians accountable for telling the truth?"

Lord Mancroft's full answer to the question (which PvH asked him) was :

"Yes, it's called 'democracy.' If they tell you more lies than is publicly acceptable, you throw them out of office. It's a really good idea! It doesn't work that well at the moment, because people are so bored with the lies that they can't be bothered to vote -- and that's the real problem."

At a public demonstration the International Coalition for Just and Effective Drug Policy, "Spreads the seeds for another drug policy", releasing hundreds of balloons bearing Cannabis seeds. March 2003.

At the European Parliament, Tom Blickman, a psychologist with Holland's Transnational Institute, intones the sage priority of repealing drug prohibition.

From Denmark, a student activist, Noah Christian Moller spells out "forbidden fruit" theory, as it relates to drugs & young people. A child's balloon released to the sky over Brussels provides a metaphor, realizing Noah's polite demand for freedom.

The third and final entry by Project P.E.A.C.E. by Between the Dreams Productions and first-time documentary film director Paul von Hartmann, "Euro Parly" provides valuable European perspective on fundamentally destabilizing prohibition laws which are being forced on the American people and the rest of the world, by the Bush administration.
